Funny how it took insider Matthew Scully to bust Gerson's mythos. Now, Scully is an interested party. But Goldberg was oblivious to the fact that there was any discord surrounding the subject of his interminable profile. Didn't that disconnect between Goldberg's piece and Scully's raise questions to any editor at the Atlantic, where Scully's piece ran?
