Although I assume your relation to Even-the-Liberal-New-Republic is a bit different from those of us who merely read (or ignore) the rag, here's an ambivalent toast to the memory of Gilbert Harrison who, on the one hand, published the journal when it was last actually a force for political good, but, on the other hand, sold it out to Marty Peretz. |
