May 04, 2007 Media Contact: (703) 697-5131/697-5132 Public/Industry(703) 428-0711 DoD Identifies Army Casualties The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.They died May 2 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device.They were assigned to the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan. Killed were: 1st Lt. Ryan P. Jones, 23, of Massachusetts. Spc. Astor A. Sunsin-Pineda, 20, of Long Beach, Calif.
