January 22, 2007 Media Contact: (703) 697-5131/697-5132 Public/Industry(703) 428-0711 DoD Identifies Army Casualty The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier, who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Pfc. Allen B. Jaynes, 21, of Henderson, Texas, died Jan. 20 in Iraq of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.
